Owners of real estate in Rowville are being encouraged to voice their hopes and visions for the suburb at an upcoming forum.
Knox Regional Council is looking to establish an agenda for how to see the area advance in the coming years, with residents, shoppers and business owners asked to attend.
Councillor in the Tirhatuan Ward Nicole Seymour said that she is excited to hear what people have to say.
She explained: "Council – in conjunction with the Rowville Community Reference Group – is working on a new plan for Rowville and we want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to have input.
"This workshop is about making sure that the community is able to share ideas and concerns, and proactively contribute to shaping the future of this wonderful suburb."
Darren Pearce, the Taylor Ward councillor, said this new agenda is an update of the old Stud Park Plan, and it looks to create more certainty for all concerned.
Cr Pearce explained that it is about developing guidelines for housing and developments – which will ensure that Rowville maintains its reputation as a great place to live.
The first event will take place on Wednesday March 13 at the Stamford Hotel from 17:30.
